Discover Aviation Fly In & Car Show

Flight of the Flags will participate in the Discover Aviation Fly In and Car Show this July 12. The event is from 8AM to 4 PM at the Lorain County Airport in Elyria, OH.

This time, we are adding an additional flight to the program. Liberty Aviation Museum is providing their Ford Trimotor to assist with our tribute. Up until now, families would wait on the ground while their flags were flown overhead. The TriMotor has ten passenger seats. We will select by random families to board the plane and hold their flag while the plane circles four veteran memorials. The remainder of the flags will be flown on Lake Erie Warbird’s TBM Avenger. The Lorain County Veterans Service Commission will provide protective flag sleeves. Please do not bring your flag in any kind of display case.

Anyone bringing a flag will have the event fee waived.
